Łabiszyn is an urban-rural municipality in the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship, within Żnin County, neighboring the municipalities of Białe Błota, Barcin, Żnin, Nowa Wieś Wielka, Szubin, and Złotniki Kujawskie. It covers an area of 167 km², characterized by a typical lowland landscape dominated by young glacial plains and moraine hills. In 2020, the municipality had a population of 10,343. The local economy is primarily based on agriculture, with a focus on livestock farming, including cattle and pigs, as well as the cultivation of grains, potatoes, and sugar beets. A notable highlight is the ecological butcher shop "Rolmięs," which produces meat products that meet dietary standards, including gluten-free options. The municipality is also home to numerous craft workshops and service-retail outlets. Forested areas, largely dominated by coniferous trees, are particularly valued for their diverse fauna, including deer, wild boars, and badgers. Among the natural monuments, majestic oaks and linden tree avenues stand out. The 19th-century palace complex in Lubostroń is the municipality’s main architectural landmark, which also includes an old palace, a park, and a hunting lodge.
