Poświętne Commune, formerly known as Ręczaje Commune, is a rural municipality located in the Masovian Voivodeship, within Wołomin County. The administrative seat of the commune is the village of Poświętne. The commune covers an area of 106.26 km², with agricultural land (74%) and forested areas (19%) making up the predominant part. The commune constitutes 11.12% of the county's total area. From a demographic perspective, as of June 30, 2004, the commune was inhabited by 5,989 people, and according to the 2011 census, this number increased to 6,007 residents. In terms of culture and tradition, Poświętne Commune preserves a rich history, cultivating local customs that are an integral part of the residents' identity. The commune consists of numerous village administrative units, including Choiny, Cygów, Dąbrowica, and Ręczaje Polskie. The architecture of the commune is represented by traditional rural buildings, reflecting local styles and materials.
