Żabia Wola, located in the Masovian Voivodeship within the Grodzisk County and situated 37 kilometers from Warsaw, is a rural municipality with a rich history and diverse spatial structure. Formerly known as Skuły, the commune operated within the Skierniewice Voivodeship for many years (1975–1998). The municipality covers an area of 105.61 km², dominated by agricultural land (70%) and forests (22%), highlighting its strong ties to agricultural traditions. Żabia Wola is characterized by dynamic demographic growth, with the population increasing from 6,168 in 2004 to 8,985 in 2019 over the past two decades. The climate in Żabia Wola features both continental and oceanic influences, with significant weather variability and an average annual temperature of around 7.7°C. The area lies within the Vistula River basin, near the Bzura River and its tributaries. The local economy is primarily based on the food industry, supported by local farms and companies such as Bada-Pak and Holdbox. Żabia Wola comprises numerous village administrative units, such as Bartoszówka, Bukówka, and Skuły, as well as settlements without such status. The municipality borders other administrative units, fostering cooperation and the development of local initiatives. Despite its rural character, Żabia Wola is increasingly recognized as an area with significant development potential, offering beautiful natural landscapes and convenient access to the capital.
