All Saints Parish in Sobolów

Sobolów, a village with its first mentions dating back to 1262, is a place with a rich history and religious tradition. The All Saints Parish, established in the first half of the 14th century, holds significant historical foundations, such as the granting of German law by King Władysław Łokietek in 1330 and the oldest records of a school from 1596. During World War I, the Stradomka Valley witnessed tragic events, leaving behind numerous war cemeteries. The focal point of religious devotion in Sobolów is the patronage of Our Lady of the Rosary, reflected in local celebrations and revered images, such as Our Lady of the Rosary and the Deliverer from Purgatory. Architecturally, the parish is surrounded by the picturesque hills of the Carpathian Foothills, and its grounds feature numerous chapels and crosses, including the 18th-century Chapel of St. John Nepomucene in Chrostowa. The parish, part of the Tarnów Diocese, encompasses several villages, and since 2023, its parish priest has been Fr. Sławomir Lech.
