wikipedia
The Andrychów Castle, also known as the Bobrowski Palace, is an 18th-century, single-story, classicist manor house built on a horseshoe plan. The masonry and cellared structure is adorned with a portico featuring four Doric columns and heraldic symbols of the Bobrowski and Męciński families. The building has a prominent risalit and large windows, and on its grounds stands a corner tower. The manor is surrounded by the remains of an estate park and a freestanding carriage house, now converted into a gastronomic venue. The name "Castle" is linked to the site’s original defensive purpose, as it was used by wealthy nobility both as a residence and a stronghold. The history of the manor dates back to the first half of the 17th century, when Marian Przyłęcki, owner of the Wieprz estate, relocated his seat here. The building, with its adjoining turret, hosted gatherings of the Bar Confederation. In 1756, the property passed into the hands of the Ankwicz family, and in the 19th century, the Bobrowski counts expanded it, giving it its present form and relocating the main entrance to the northern side. In the past, the manor was surrounded by ponds and a moat, emphasizing its defensive character. The Andrychów Castle is an important element of the region's cultural heritage, combining both architectural and historical significance.
