Bobrowo is a rural commune located in the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship, within Brodnica County, with its administrative seat in the town of Bobrowo. Between 1975 and 1998, the commune was part of the Toruń Voivodeship. It covers an area of 146.28 km², 80% of which is agricultural land, while forests make up 8%. The commune is demographically diverse, with a population of 6,370 people as of December 31, 2017. The area is rich in architectural monuments that reflect its long history. Notable among them are churches such as the Parish Church of St. James the Apostle from the 13th/14th century and the Church of St. Andrew the Apostle from the 14th century in Brudzawy. These sites hold significant cultural value and are listed in the register of historical monuments. Other interesting landmarks include a wooden watermill from the years 1880–1890 in Lisam Młyn and a manor complex in Słoszewy with the ruins of a manor house dating back to 1829. The commune is well-organized administratively, with numerous village districts and smaller settlements, which supports local community life. It borders several other communes, facilitating regional interaction and cultural exchange. With its rich history and diverse heritage, Bobrowo is an interesting place both for residents and visitors.
