Bielany Deanery

The Bielany Deanery is one of the 25 Roman Catholic deaneries in the Archdiocese of Warsaw, located within the metropolitan area of Warsaw. Its territory encompasses eight parishes, each with unique architectural and historical features. The Blessed Edward Detkens Parish, dedicated to martyrs, is situated in the picturesque Bielański Forest, which is known not only for religious activities but also for its natural environment, serving as a local recreational center. The Saint Sigismund Parish, located in Stare Bielany, is characterized by its Neo-Gothic architecture and dates back to the 19th century. The Parish of Our Lady Help of Christians in Chomiczówka exemplifies the close bond between the local community and the Church, which organizes various cultural and religious events. Meanwhile, the Parish of Our Lady Queen of Peace in Młociny played a significant role in the post-war development of the community; its architecture blends traditional and modern styles. The Saint Christopher Parish on Piaski attracts worshippers both from the immediate vicinity and more distant regions. The Saint Ignatius Loyola Parish in Placówka is renowned for its dynamic pastoral activities, including diverse initiatives for children and youth. The Saint Mary Magdalene Parish in Wawrzyszew, with its rich history, is an important landmark in the local cultural landscape, and its activities enrich the lives of residents. Lastly, the Parish of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Wrzeciono is a place with strong family traditions, hosting numerous events related to religious life. An interesting fact is that, thanks to its location, the Bielany Deanery is closely connected to both the urban life of Warsaw and its green spaces, making it a unique area where modernity harmoniously intertwines with tradition and history.
