The coat of arms of Bierutów has been documented since the 14th century and has undergone numerous transformations, including in the 17th century when a seal was introduced featuring the emblem surrounded by flowers and supported by angels. The heraldic legend is associated with the Reichenbach family, as well as symbolic references to "wolf hooks." Listed in the register of historical monuments are such sites as the 13th-century Church of St. Catherine, the Evangelical cemetery church, a castle complex dating back to the early 14th century, and its medieval tower. Other notable monuments include the neo-Gothic Church of St. Joseph, the former synagogue, and a 13th-century stone cross. As part of the Wrocław agglomeration, Bierutów has a history dating back to the Middle Ages, making it an interesting destination for both tourists and history enthusiasts. From 1975 to 1998, it was part of the Wrocław Voivodeship. It borders Dziadowa Kłoda, Jelcz-Laskowice, Namysłów, Oleśnica, and Wilków, which fosters local connections and regional development.
