Bishop Michał Klepacz Park, previously known as Stanisław Worcell Park, is located in Łódź, in the Polesie district, surrounded by a sports hall and the pavilions of the Łódź International Fair. It covers an area of 3.3 hectares and has been owned by the Lodz University of Technology since 2017. As part of the university's Campus B, the park was fenced off in 2019. The park's history dates back to the second half of the 19th century when the Richter family, Łódź industrialists, began transforming the areas around their residences into decorative gardens. The park's establishment is dated to 1904, as commemorated on the gate to Reinhold Richter's residence. Two historic villas are located within the park, which now serve administrative functions for the university. In its current form, the park features flat terrain and rich biodiversity, with approximately 230 trees, including 24 natural monuments such as the Fabrykant Oak and unique poplars. It is also known for its exceptional cluster of Siberian squill, which blooms on the lawns in spring, creating vast blue carpets. Throughout its history, the park has undergone various transformations and was entered into the register of historical monuments in 1983. Its current patron, Bishop Michał Klepacz, was assigned in 1994. Despite changes in ownership, the park remains open to residents, maintaining its recreational role in Łódź's urban landscape.
