Dąbrowa Biskupia is a rural municipality in the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship, located in the Inowrocław County, with its administrative seat in a locality of the same name. The municipality spans an area of 147.44 km², predominantly comprising agricultural land (73%) as well as forested areas (19%). As of June 2004, Dąbrowa Biskupia was inhabited by 5,254 people. Within the municipality, there are two nature reserves: Balczewo, which protects waterfowl habitats, and Rejna, safeguarding a site of dwarf cherry trees. The area is rich in architectural heritage, with registered monuments including a manor complex from the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries in Parchanie, a wooden parish church of St. Nicholas from 1718–1738 in Pieranie, as well as two other manor complexes in Sobiesierna and Wola Stanomińska, representing early 20th-century architecture. In cultural terms, the municipality is home to a community that cultivates local traditions and participates in organized social events. An interesting feature includes its administrative villages (sołectwa), such as Brudnia, Modliborzyce, and Stanomin, which form a diverse social mosaic. The municipality also includes localities without formal village status, such as Bąkowo and Niemojewo. Dąbrowa Biskupia borders other municipalities, such as Aleksandrów Kujawski and Gniewkowo, fostering interregional cooperation. The municipality constitutes 12.04% of the area of Inowrocław County and plays an important role in preserving local traditions and protecting nature. It is worth emphasizing that despite its modest size, Dąbrowa Biskupia has much to offer both residents and visitors, who can explore its rich cultural heritage and exceptional natural assets.
