Bobolice is an urban-rural municipality located in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship, in the southern part of the Koszalin County. The seat of the municipality is the town of Bobolice, which boasts a rich history dating back to medieval times and is characterized by its architecture, including the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary and a historic cemetery. The municipality covers an area of 367.56 km², which constitutes 22% of the entire Koszalin County, and in 2009, it was home to a population of 9,740 residents. The municipality includes numerous village administrative units (sołectwa) and hamlets, such as Boboliczki, Chlebowo, and Głodowa, creating a diverse settlement structure. Nature reserves like "Buczyna" and "Jezioro Szare" are also located within the municipality, protecting unique ecosystems, while the Radew River offers opportunities for water tourism. The municipality's history includes the years 1975–1998, when it was part of the Koszalin Voivodeship. An important element of the regional culture are the numerous manor parks, such as those in Dobrotechy, Kłanino, and Cybulino, which showcase historical traditions and noble architecture. An interesting fact is that Bobolice gained railway connection in 1897, and narrow-gauge lines operated until 2001. In 2016, the municipal administration had a budget of 40 million PLN, with public debts amounting to 16.1 million PLN. The municipality of Bobolice focuses on the development and preservation of local traditions, culture, and nature, attracting both tourists and residents interested in the region's heritage.
