Bolimów

The Bolimów Commune, located in the Łódź Voivodeship, in the Skierniewice County, is a unit established under the administrative reforms during the Kingdom of Poland on May 31, 1870, as a rural commune following the loss of town rights by Bolimów. Historically, the commune was part of the Łowicz County in the Warsaw Governorate. Today, the seat of the commune is the town of Bolimów, and according to 2004 statistics, the commune had 4,035 inhabitants. The area of the commune is 112.21 km², dominated by agricultural and forest land, which creates its picturesque landscape and supports biodiversity. Part of the Rawka Nature Reserve is located within the commune, protecting the natural bed of the Rawka River, which contributes to its rich natural heritage. The commune consists of many villages, including Bolimowska Wieś, Humin, Jasionna, and Joachimów-Mogiły.
