The Borzechów Commune, located in the Lublin Voivodeship within Lublin County, has its administrative seat in the village of Borzechów. Between 1975 and 1998, it was part of the former Lublin Voivodeship. The commune covers an area of 67.37 km², of which 86% is agricultural land and 10% is forested. It constitutes 4.01% of the total area of the county. As of June 30, 2004, the population was 3,847, but by the end of 2019, it had decreased to 3,760. The commune includes several villages, such as Białawoda, Borzechów-Kolonia, Grabówka, and Majdan Borzechowski. It borders other communes, including Bełżyce, Urzędów, and Niedrzwica Duża. The region is notable for its architectural and cultural value, characterized by small, traditional settlements. Although Borzechów is not a major tourist destination in Poland, its local landscapes and natural areas provide opportunities for recreation for both residents and visitors. An interesting fact is that a significant portion of the commune is dedicated to agricultural use, highlighting its rural character.
