Brańsk

Brańsk is a rural municipality in Poland located in the Podlaskie Voivodeship, within Bielsk County, with the town of Brańsk serving as its administrative seat. The municipality has existed since 1975 and was part of the Białystok Voivodeship for a long time. According to demographic data, in 2004 the municipality had a population of 6,565, while by the end of 2019 this number had decreased to 5,630. The municipality covers an area of 227.3 km², of which 78% is agricultural land and 15% is forested, highlighting the region's rural character. The municipality constitutes 16.41% of the total area of Bielsk County. Brańsk is also rich in diverse localities, including Bronka, Chojewo, Dębowo, and Puchały Nowe, which attract both nature enthusiasts and tourists interested in local culture.
