Brest Kuyavian

Brześć Kujawski is an urban-rural municipality in the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship, located in the Włocławek County. The seat of the municipality, the town of Brześć Kujawski, boasts a rich history dating back to the 13th century, reflected in its numerous historical monuments. Among the most important architectural sites are churches, including the parish church of St. Stanislaus and the 13th-century Dominican church, which bear witness to the region's medieval traditions. Also noteworthy is the town hall from 1824, as well as numerous palace complexes, such as those in Wieniec, Falborz, and Popowiczki, representing various architectural styles from classicism to neoclassicism. Culturally, the municipality is diverse, and its demographic structure indicates stable development; in 2019, the population was 11,442. The municipality covers an area of 150.44 km², with a predominance of agricultural land (74%) and forests (18%), which shapes the local economy and landscape.
