The pier in Brzeźno is a picturesque wooden structure located in Gdańsk, in the Brzeźno district. Its history dates back to 1900, when the first pier, measuring 100 meters in length, was built. During the interwar period, it was extended to 250 meters in length and 6 meters in width, but this pier did not survive to the present day. The current pier, which has been in operation since July 19, 1996, was constructed between 1993 and 1996, continuing the tradition of seaside structures. It is located one kilometer northwest of the original pier and serves as an extension of John Paul II Avenue, with a new length of 136 meters and a width of 7.2 meters. In the future, there are plans to extend it by an additional 126 meters. The pier not only serves a touristic function but also plays an important role in the local community, serving as a place for walks and recreation for both residents and tourists. In 2021, a comprehensive renovation began, costing 792,000 PLN, and in 2022, the work continued with an additional investment of 350,000 PLN. The pier in Brzeźno is not only an architecturally significant site but also a cultural one, attracting history and nature enthusiasts while offering beautiful views of the Gdańsk Bay.
