Kazimierza Wielka is an urban-rural municipality located in the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship, within the Kazimierza County. Its administrative seat is the town of Kazimierza Wielka, and the municipality encompasses both urban and rural areas. In 2010, the population was 16,395, and as of January 1, 2011, the total area of the municipality was 139.86 km², of which 5.33 km² was urban area and 134.53 km² was rural land. It is worth noting that 89% of the municipality's area is agricultural land, while only 3% is forested. Kazimierza Wielka has an interesting religious structure, with six Roman Catholic parishes and a congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. The local economy is not in the best condition; in 2012, the municipality was recognized as the poorest in Poland in terms of budget revenue per capita. The municipality includes numerous villages, such as Boronice, Broniszów, Chruszczyna, Gabułtów, and many others. It borders municipalities like Bejsce and Czarnocin, which creates opportunities for cooperation and cultural exchange.
