Kocia Łapa is an elevation standing at 1182 meters above sea level in the Polica Range of the Beskid Żywiecki Mountains, notable for its panoramic views. It is situated between Kucałowa Przełęcz and Jasna Grapa. Although it is not the highest peak in the area, its summit platform and grassy terrain make it a popular viewpoint, offering breathtaking vistas of nearby peaks such as Polica, the Jałowiec Range, the Silesian Beskids, and the Little Beskids. The northern slopes of Kocia Łapa feature a cliff known as Łysina and a forest, adding to the picturesque landscape. Meanwhile, on the southeastern slopes, the PTTK shelter on Hala Krupowa is located, and the area is continuously fed by springs forming the Zakulawka Stream. This region attracts tourists due to its diverse trails, including the Main Beskid Trail. The estimated hiking times for various segments reflect their accessibility and appeal to trekkers, with multiple routes starting from Krowiarki, Bystra, and Zawoja.
