The Celestynów Commune, located in the Masovian Voivodeship, in the Otwock County, boasts a rich history and diverse architectural and natural attractions. Its administrative seat is the town of Celestynów, and in 2020, the commune had a population of 11,701. Covering an area of 88.92 km², the commune is largely forested, with much of it lying within the Masovian Landscape Park. Notable natural features and protected areas include the "Celestynowski Grąd" and "Żurawinowe Bagno" nature reserves. From a historical perspective, the commune is home to significant sites related to World War II, including the railway station where a 1943 operation by the Kedyw (Directorate of Diversion) took place, an event later commemorated in literature. Architecturally, the area is distinguished by the historic PKP (Polish State Railways) station in Celestynów, dating back to 1900, the Radzin Manor, and the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
