Chinese House in Żywiec

The Chinese Pavilion is a historic gazebo located in the park in Żywiec, built in the second half of the 18th century by the Wielopolski family. It is characterized by its unique architecture, as it was constructed in the form of an octagonal, masonry structure, making it an interesting example of historic garden architecture. On its roof, there is the coat of arms of the Wielopolski family—Starykoń—which highlights the historical significance of this structure and its connection to the noble lineage. The Chinese Pavilion is not only a testament to its time but also serves a cultural function; the ground floor houses a café, while the upper floor features a gallery, making the site attractive to numerous visitors.
