Dłutów is a rural commune located in the Łódź Voivodeship, within Pabianice County, with its administrative seat in the village of Dłutów. Between 1975 and 1998, the commune was part of the former Piotrków Voivodeship. In 2011, the population was 4,248, and by 2017 it had increased to 4,567. The commune covers an area of 101.23 km², of which 55% is agricultural land and 37% is forested. Thanks to its abundant woodlands, Dłutów has earned the nickname "the green lungs" of Pabianice County.
