wikipedia
The Church of All Saints in Ptaszkowa is a wooden temple dating back to 1555, which once served as a parish church and now functions as an auxiliary one. It is part of the Wooden Architecture Trail in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship. The structure features a log construction, a post-and-frame tower, and a tripartitely closed presbytery. The interior is characterized by flat ceilings, dome-shaped vaults in the transept, and polychrome paintings from the years 1929–32. The most valuable element of the furnishings is a Gothic sculpture of the Madonna and Child from 1420, housed in a Rococo side altar. The church has undergone numerous renovations, including the raising of the tower between 1880 and 1883, and an unusual expansion with additional chapels in 1929, designed by Zdzisław Mączeński. An added value of the church is a late Gothic bas-relief by Wit Stwosz, dated to the end of the 15th century, which is now displayed in the new church as part of an exhibition. Near the temple stands a stone bell tower, built in 1932 and also designed by Mączeński. The church in Ptaszkowa is a significant element of local culture and history, reflecting the region's rich sacral tradition.
