The Church of Our Lady of the Rosary in Świętochłowice-Chropaczów was built between 1911 and 1913, designed by Max Giemsa. The church, which is listed in the register of immovable monuments of the Silesian Voivodeship, was consecrated on May 1, 1913. Its construction cost 420,000 marks, and the interior decoration involved the workshop of Mathias Beule from Bytom, among others. The church was exposed to mining-related damage, leading to numerous repairs, the most significant of which took place after a tragic incident in 1930 when a parishioner died due to building damage, resulting in the church's temporary closure for repairs. Further renovations were carried out between 1954 and 1964 and after a fire in 1975. As a result of these events, the parish undertook extensive efforts to restore and secure the building. In 1980, a comprehensive renovation began, stabilizing the structure and replacing internal installations. In 1986, Bishop Damian Zimoń consecrated the new altar, and subsequent modernizations included new bells and the restoration of the church's interior decor. It is also worth noting that the parish cemetery, established around 1901, expanded as the population grew, reaching nearly 150 ares by 1929. By 2000, 12,500 people had been buried there, reflecting its importance to the local community. The church and cemetery are significant elements of the region's cultural and historical heritage and serve as a focal point for the local community, which has relied on its pastoral services for generations.
