wikipedia
The Church of Our Lady Queen of the Holy Rosary in Łaziska Górne is a Neo-Gothic temple with Neo-Romanesque elements, featuring three naves and a tall tower reaching 41 meters in height. It was built between 1892 and 1906, initially as a chapel, but it quickly proved too small for the growing community. Since 1908, it has served as a parish church. Its interior was expanded with altars, including the main altar with an image of the Virgin Mary and statues of saints. In 1939, the church was severely damaged during German shelling, leading to its reconstruction in the years following World War II. Among the renovations carried out in subsequent years, the installation of new organs, altars, and stained-glass windows is noteworthy. Throughout its existence, this historic church has undergone numerous changes to adapt to liturgical requirements, particularly after the Second Vatican Council. The church was added to the list of historic monuments in 2005. The rectory, built in 1902, is located in close proximity to the church and has also undergone modernizations. An interesting fact is that the chapel from which the church originated was funded by the local community with the support of the Prince of Pszczyna, and during its construction, residents actively participated in the work, reflecting strong social cohesion.
