wikipedia
The Church of St. Stephen and St. Anne in Raszyn is a Roman Catholic temple in the Baroque-Classicist style, constituting a valuable 17th-century monument. It was founded by Zygmunt Opacki, the owner of Raszyn and Falenty, and its construction began in 1654. In 1655, the church was consecrated, and despite difficult historical periods, such as the Swedish Deluge, it has survived to this day. In the 16th century, the temple gained a marble epitaph of Olbracht Opacki, the founder's son, which testifies to its cultural and spiritual significance in the region. The church's architecture retains features typical of the 17th century, with a simple facade that divides the building into two symmetrical segments. The interior, richly decorated with gilding, paintings, and sculptures of saints, contrasts with the modestly decorated facade. The church underwent renovations in 1790 and 1979. In the vicinity, there is an 18th-century presbytery, which underscores the history and importance of this place in the local community. According to legend, the Church of St. Stephen and St. Anne has gained the status of an important point on the cultural and religious map of Raszyn.
