Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Zabłudów

The Church of the Dormition of the Most Holy Theotokos in Zabłudów is an Orthodox temple belonging to the Białystok Deanery of the Białystok-Gdańsk Diocese of the Polish Autocephalous Orthodox Church. Built between 1847 and 1855, it is a significant example of Rusyn architecture, making it an important reference point in the region's sacred architecture. The church is situated in a picturesque location on Cerkiewna Street, near the market square, highlighting its importance in the social and cultural landscape of Zabłudów. Inside the temple, there is an iconostasis created in 1979, which serves as the central element of the liturgical space and reflects the rich iconographic tradition. The church was entered into the register of historical monuments on January 9, 1985, under number 593, ensuring the preservation of its historical value and protecting it from destruction.
