The Printing Museum in Cieszyn, established in 1996, is an important landmark on the cultural map of the Cieszyn Silesia region, commemorating the area’s rich printing traditions. The museum's collection includes many valuable exhibits, such as a letterpress machine with a set of typefaces, as well as chemigraphic and woodcut matrices, highlighting the city's significance as a center of printing craftsmanship. Although highly regarded for its architectural and historical value, the museum was closed in April 2019 for expansion. This process was driven by the requirements of a European Union project, which led to the Printing Museum Association no longer being able to independently manage the institution. After the renovation was completed, the Municipality of Cieszyn entrusted the management of the museum to Zamek Cieszyn (Cieszyn Castle), which now operates the facility in partnership with the association, introducing new organizational dynamics. It is worth noting that in 2014, the museum was honored with the Juliusz Ligoń Silesian Award, recognizing its significant contribution to regional culture and education. Interestingly, the museum not only focuses on the history of printing but also organizes a variety of cultural events that engage the local community and attract tourists, contributing to the promotion of Cieszyn as one of the key tourist destinations in the region.
