Cool Fish (Fajna Ryba) is the highest natural elevation in the Łódź Voivodeship, reaching 347 meters above sea level. It is located in the Przedbórz commune, within the Przedbórz-Malogoszcz Range and the Przedbórz Landscape Park. It forms part of the northern Przedbórz Upland, and the village of Góry Mokre lies at the foot of the hill. The hill's surface features Mesozoic formations, and its terrain relief is primarily of pre-Quaternary origin, giving it a unique geological character. From a historical perspective, during World War II, the hill was part of German fortifications intended to defend against the advancing Red Army. Although fragments of trenches have been preserved, their construction was forced upon the local civilian population. Due to the maneuvering of Soviet troops, the fortifications were never used. Thus, Fajna Ryba represents a fascinating element of the landscape, combining natural, cultural, and historical aspects.
