Damnica is a rural municipality located in the Pomeranian Voivodeship, within the Słupsk County. Its history dates back to the times before the partitions of Poland, and the region's rich heritage is reflected in its local architecture. The municipality consists of 18 village districts (sołectwa), including Damnica, which serves as the municipal seat, as well as other localities such as Bięcino, Bobrowniki, and Strzyżyno. The area includes both village districts and non-district settlements, highlighting the diversity of its habitation patterns. Notably, the rural architecture often showcases traditional Pomeranian construction, with wooden houses and farmsteads preserving regional characteristics. The cultural life of Damnica is deeply connected to local traditions, nurtured by the community through folk events and festivals.
