wikipedia
The municipality of Domaniów, located in the eastern part of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship within Oława County, is a rural municipality with its seat in the town of Domaniów. After the end of World War II, the municipality was primarily settled by displaced persons from the Eastern Borderlands and settlers from central Poland, which significantly influenced its demographics and culture. In 2013, the municipality was inhabited by 5,327 people, and by the end of 2019, this number had decreased to 5,162. The municipality has an agricultural character and is situated at an altitude of approximately 140 meters above sea level. In 2002, the area of the municipality was 94.31 km², of which 91% was agricultural land and 0% was forest land. Domaniów is well-connected, with the A4 motorway running through its central part and two voivodeship roads. Unfortunately, the municipality has no railway connections. Historically, Domaniów reflects the post-war settlement processes, and its demographic structure reveals the influences of the immigrant population, which may be of interest to researchers dealing with regional history and sociology. An interesting fact is that the municipality constitutes 18.01% of the area of Oława County. It is also worth noting that the local architecture, including traditional rural buildings, often reflects the historical influence of settlers on the region. The municipality offers positive aspects of rural life that attract new generations of residents, as well as tourists seeking authentic experiences in the nature of Lower Silesia.
