Dopiewo

Dopiewo is a rural municipality located in the Greater Poland Voivodeship, bordering Poznań, within the Poznań County. With its seat in Dopiewo, the municipality is dynamically developing, transitioning from a traditional agricultural economy towards non-agricultural activities and residential construction, particularly in areas closer to the regional capital. Despite this, agricultural land still dominates its area, covering 71% of the 108.1 km², along with forested areas, which account for 15.9%. The municipality is home to the Trzcielińskie Bagno strict protection area, formerly a nature reserve, as well as the southern part of the municipality, which lies within the buffer zone of the Wielkopolski National Park. The municipality is inhabited by a growing population, which increased from 20,868 people in 2013 to 33,821 in 2021.
