Drużbice is a rural commune located in the Łódź Voivodeship, in the Bełchatów County, with its administrative seat in the village of Drużbice. The history of the commune dates back to the pre-war years when it was known as the Wadlew Commune until 1954. Between 1975 and 1998, the commune was part of the Piotrków Voivodeship. The commune covers an area of 113.33 km², a significant portion of which—77%—is agricultural land, while 17% is forested. With a population of 4,934 as of December 31, 2007, the commune accounts for 11.71% of the total area of Bełchatów County.
