Czerwonka, formerly known as the Perzanowo Commune, is a rural municipality located in the Masovian Voivodeship, within the Maków County. Its administrative seat is Czerwonka Włościańska. The municipality covers an area of 110.59 km², of which 55% is agricultural land and 42% is forested, making it an area with significant agricultural and forestry potential. Demographically, according to data from June 30, 2004, the municipality had 2,630 inhabitants. The Czerwonka Commune consists of numerous village districts (sołectwa), such as Adamowo, Budzyno Walędzięta, Ciemniewo, and Perzanowo, as well as non-village localities, including Czerwonka Szlachecka and Nowe Zacisze. The history of the municipality, which was once part of the Ostrołęka Voivodeship (1975–1998), is part of the local traditions and social structure of the region. Architecturally, the municipality does not stand out with monuments of particular significance, but its rural buildings and surrounding nature create a picturesque landscape.
