The Glove, also known as the Five-Fingers Rock or the White Hand, is a distinctive rock formation with a unique shape, located in the Ojców National Park within the Prądnik Valley. Composed of Jurassic limestone, it rises approximately 85 meters above the valley floor, situated in the central part of the valley on the western slope of the Góra Koronna massif. The name of the rock originates from a local legend, which tells of how God covered the entrance to the Dark Cave with His hand to protect the inhabitants from Tatar invaders. The top part of the Glove consists of five finger-like columns, giving it the appearance of a hand. The rock is clearly visible from the bottom of the Prądnik Valley, as well as from the hiking trail that runs through Góra Koronna, where there is a viewing platform offering a close-up view. It is worth noting that climbing on the Glove is prohibited, which helps preserve its natural value. The hiking trail in the Prądnik Valley passes various attractions, such as the Dark Cave, Krukowski's Rock, and viewpoints on Góra Koronna and Wapiennik, providing breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. Due to its unique form, the Glove has also inspired numerous stories that enrich the local culture and history, attracting tourists interested in both nature and legends.
