Gołcza

Gołcza is a rural municipality located in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship, within the Miechów County, with its administrative seat in the village of Gołcza. Covering an area of 90.27 km², the municipality consists mainly of agricultural land (87%) and forests (7%). According to data from 2006, it had 6,476 inhabitants. In its administrative history, the municipality was known as Rzerzuśnia until 1954, and between 1975 and 1998, it was part of the Kraków Voivodeship. Neighboring municipalities include Charsznica, Iwanowice, Miechów, Skała, Słomniki, Trzyciąż, and Wolbrom. Gołcza comprises numerous villages, such as Adamowice, Buk, Chobędza, Cieplice, Czaple Małe, and Czaple Wielkie, reflecting the diversity of its local settlement structure.
