Gola Dzierżoniowska Castle, built in 1580 by Leonard von Rohnau, is a valuable example of Renaissance architecture, characterized by sgraffito decorations and a portal with noble coats of arms. Erected on a stone escarpment with later additions, including a 17th-century tower, the castle has retained its original form and significance. The history of this site dates back to around the year 1000, and the original structure underwent numerous transformations up until the 18th century. During World War II, the castle suffered damage, and after the war, it gradually fell into ruin. Its last owners, the von Prittwitz und Gaffron family, were forced to abandon the estate. The castle and the surrounding park, rich in flora and fauna, are now protected. The 13-hectare park offers remarkable natural yields, including a century-old beech tree avenue and seven ponds, once neglected but still part of the beautiful landscape. In 2013, the castle was transformed into a hotel, spa, and restaurant called Uroczysko 7 Stawów, further enhancing its appeal as a tourist destination. Restoration work, ongoing since 2000 and supported by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage between 2007 and 2008, aims to restore the castle to its former glory, making it one of the most important heritage sites in the region.
