Gołymin-Ośrodek is a rural municipality in the Masovian Voivodeship, within the Ciechanów County, with its administrative seat located in the village of Gołymin-Ośrodek. At the end of 2022, the municipality was home to 3,543 residents, reflecting a 12.5% population decline between 2002 and 2022. Covering an area of 110.55 km², the land is predominantly agricultural (91%), with forests accounting for 3% of the territory. The demographic structure is balanced, with nearly equal proportions of women (49.7%) and men (50.3%). The average age of residents is 40.6 years, which is close to the averages for both the Masovian Voivodeship and Poland as a whole. The municipality comprises several village councils (sołectwa), including Garnowo Duże, Gołymin-Ośrodek, and Pajewo Wielkie.
