The municipality of Dobre, located in the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship within the Radziejów County, is an area rich in cultural and historical heritage. Its administrative seat, the town of Dobre, serves as the central hub of the municipality. Historically, before 1954, the municipality was known as Sędzin, and between 1975 and 1998, it was part of the Włocławek Voivodeship. As of June 30, 2004, the municipality was home to 5,511 residents, highlighting its significance as a place to live and work. Covering an area of 70.77 km², Dobre is characterized by its agricultural landscape, with farmland accounting for 91% of its territory. Architecturally, the municipality boasts numerous immovable monuments, including churches such as the neo-Gothic parish church of St. Bartholomew in Bronisław, constructed between 1870 and 1876, and the church in Byczyna, built in 1880. In Krzywosądz, visitors can find a wooden church dating back to 1863, as well as a manor house from the years 1850–1860, which now serves as a rectory and is surrounded by a garden. Another notable site is a historic inn from the first half of the 19th century, reflecting the local tradition of hospitality. Dobre is bordered by the municipalities of Dąbrowa Biskupia, Kruszwica, Osięciny, Radziejów, and Zakrzewo, fostering regional cooperation. The municipality includes villages such as Bodzanowo, Byczyna, and Krzywosądz, which contribute to its vibrant local community.
