The Gothic Chapel on Bolesław Chrobry Square in Police, also known as the "little church," is a remnant of the 13th/14th-century Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary, which existed until the end of the 19th century. The structure is located in the Old Town market square, where it originally adjoined the southern wall of the church, which was demolished in 1895 due to its poor technical condition. The chapel's architecture features a stepped portal and pointed-arch blind niches that adorn the southern wall. Until around 1500, it served as an ossuary, and later, until 1910, it was used as an altar. The chapel is built on a stone foundation made of glacial erratics, and its gable roof is parallel to the axis of the no longer existing church. The exterior walls are richly decorated with a frieze and ceramics, while the pointed-arch windows and arcaded blind niches add to its Gothic character. After a renovation completed in December 2009, the chapel became the seat of the Tourist and Cultural Information Center. The renovation was funded by the Police municipality and the Police County. Interestingly, until 2007, the building housed a jewelry store. The chapel also serves as the starting point of the PTTK Police Trail, making it attractive to tourists. The chapel is easily accessible by public transportation, with numerous bus lines serving the area.
