The rural commune of Grajewo, located in the Podlaskie Voivodeship, within Grajewo County, has its administrative seat in the town of Grajewo. From 1975 to 1998, the commune belonged to the Łomża Voivodeship. As of the end of 2009, it was inhabited by 6,054 people, and its area is 308.13 km², of which 62% is agricultural land and 30% is forest land. The commune plays an important role in the county, constituting 31.86% of its area.
