The Grębocice Commune, located in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship within the Polkowice County, is a rural municipality covering an area of 121.89 km². In 2004, it had a population of 5,294, which increased to 5,430 by 2020. The commune features a diverse spatial structure, with agricultural land occupying 72% of its area and forested land accounting for 19%. Grębocice makes up 15.63% of the total area of Polkowice County. It borders the communes of Głogów, Jerzmanowa, Pęcław, Polkowice, and Rudna. The commune includes numerous village councils (sołectwa), such as Grębocice, Grodowiec, and Wilczyn, as well as localities without this status, like Bieńków and Czerńczyce. Nature conservation in the region is supported by the Uroczysko Obiszów Nature Reserve, which protects fragments of mixed forest distinguished by features of a natural ecosystem.
