Halinów is an urban-rural municipality located in the Masovian Voivodeship, within the Mińsk County, with its administrative seat in Halinów. The municipality was established on July 1, 1952, but it formally began operating within Mińsk County on January 1, 1973. Geographically, the municipality features a diverse land structure, with agricultural land dominating (65% of the area) and significantly smaller forest and water areas. According to data from the end of 2014, Halinów was inhabited by 15,341 people. The municipality is home to various cultural institutions, including the Municipal Cultural Center and the Halinów Municipality Library, which promote local culture and knowledge. There are also industrial enterprises, such as Media-Tech Polska and the Świt Invalid Cooperative, indicating a diverse economic structure in the region. The surroundings of Halinów include numerous village administrative units (sołectwa), highlighting local identity and historical settlement continuity. The municipality borders Dębe Wielkie, Sulejówek, Wiązowna, and Zielonka, fostering cooperation and cultural exchange with neighboring towns. Although Halinów remains rich in agricultural traditions, it also aspires to develop modern forms of cooperation and social activity.
