The Sheraton Sopot Hotel is a five-star facility that opened on July 1, 2008, located in Sopot, between the Sopot Pier and the Grand Hotel. The hotel offers 189 rooms, including 7 suites, and extensive amenities, such as two restaurants, three bars, and the largest spa in the Tricity area. It also includes a conference center spanning 4,000 m², making it one of the largest in this part of Poland.
The hotel’s architecture pays homage to a previous hotel that stood on this site until 1945—the Kurhaus Hotel, also known as the Guest House, which burned down in March of that year. For several decades afterward, the area was used as a parking lot.
The Sheraton Sopot Hotel is not only a modern accommodation base but also a destination that attracts both tourists and artists. Over the years, it has hosted numerous celebrities, including Roman Polański, Jay-Z, Sinéad O’Connor, Craig David, Rihanna, and the band Depeche Mode. These events highlight its significance on Poland’s cultural map. The hotel is not just a luxurious place to stay but also an important part of the Silesian and European artistic scene.
