Imielno, previously known as the Mierzwin commune, is a rural commune in the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship, within the Jędrzejów County. The commune's administrative seat is located in the village of Imielno. Between 1975 and 1998, the commune was part of the Kielce Voivodeship. As of the end of 2010, the commune had a population of 4,524, and according to data from January 1, 2011, its area was 101.01 km². The commune is characterized by a predominance of agricultural land, which accounted for 82% of its area, and forest land, which occupied 9%.
