Ivanovice

The Iwanowice Municipality, located in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship, within the Kraków County, consists of 23 villages, including Biskupice, Celiny, and Narama. Its administrative seat is in Iwanowice Włościańskie, which was simply called Iwanowice until 1999. The municipality is known for its rich demographic structure, and according to 2020 data, it is home to 9,215 people. The area of the municipality is 70.62 km², with agricultural land dominating, accounting for 90% of the total area. Iwanowice is a member of the Union of Polish Towns and is adjacent to municipalities such as Gołcza, Skała, and Zielonki. Part of the municipality lies within the Dłubnia Landscape Park, where limestone rocks and protected species of plants and animals can be found. Two cycling routes with a total length of 10 km run through the municipality, complete with rest areas for cyclists. Iwanowice operates 8 primary schools and 2 kindergartens, highlighting its commitment to educating the local community. The Iwanowice Municipality boasts numerous historical monuments that impress with their architecture and history. The most important objects listed in the register of immovable monuments of the Lesser Poland Voivodeship include: the Holy Trinity Church in Iwanowice, the St. Roch Chapel in Iwanowice, the historic inn in Iwanowice, the St. Andrew's Church in Sieciechowice, and the manor complex in Sieciechowice. Interestingly, in the past, the Iwanowice Municipality was part of the Kraków Voivodeship, and the administrative changes that took place in 1999 significantly influenced its development. The municipality is also well-connected, thanks to the presence of National Road 7 and the S7 expressway, enabling quick access to nearby cities and tourist attractions.
