The Jan Jarocki Ustroń Museum, located in Ustroń in Cieszyn Silesia, is a cultural institution housed in a historic building that once served as the directorate of the Klemens Steelworks, which operated from 1772 to 1897. The building, dating back to 1800, was opened to visitors on April 18, 1986. The museum boasts a rich collection of exhibits related to the history of local ironworking and blacksmithing, ethnography, art, and Ustroń's spa treatments. In 2023, the museum offers a variety of permanent exhibitions covering the history of Ustroń's iron industry, the development of the spa resort, daily life of the inhabitants in the 19th and 20th centuries, the museum's patron Jan Jarocki, and the works of local artist Bogusław Heczko. Adjacent to the building is a small industrial and agricultural open-air museum featuring equipment from the Ustroń Forge, making it an interesting attraction for visitors. Since 2006, the Ustroń Museum has been part of the Silesian Voivodeship's Industrial Monuments Route, highlighting its significance in the region's technological heritage. The building's facade is adorned with the coats of arms of the Habsburgs and Duke Albert Casimir of Saxe-Teschen, adding historical and architectural charm to the institution and making it a valuable landmark on Ustroń's cultural map. The museum is not only a treasury of local history but also a place where visitors can explore the life and customs of the region's former inhabitants.
