Jastków is a rural municipality in the Lublin Voivodeship, located in Lublin County, with its administrative seat in the village of Jastków. The municipality is part of the Lublin agglomeration and covers an area of 113.76 km², dominated by agricultural land (86%) with a small share of forested areas (5%). In 2017, the population of the municipality was 13,903, reflecting its dynamic demographic growth, particularly in recent years, with a 13% increase compared to 2014. Jastków is known for its historical monuments, including churches and religious buildings in Dąbrowica, Jastków, Ługów, Moszenki, Snopków, and Tomaszowice. Tourism in the municipality is developed to a limited extent, which has led to the creation of a network of cycling routes connecting local attractions. The municipality boasts good transport infrastructure, with expressways S12, S17, and S19 passing through it, as well as voivodeship and county roads. An important transport feature is railway line No. 7, which includes a stop in Miłocin. The municipality comprises various villages, including Barak, Dębówka, Marysin, and Wysokie. Jastków also has partner municipalities, such as Schmitten, fostering cultural exchange and the development of local initiatives. Although tourism in Jastków is less developed, its rich demographic structure and proximity to Lublin are assets that can attract both residents and tourists.
