JuraPark Solec

JuraPark Solec, opened in 2008 in Solec Kujawski, is one of the largest dinosaur parks in Europe, covering over 12 hectares. The park was partially modeled on the one in Bałtów but offers a much larger area to explore. Within the old forest, there are over 100 life-size reconstructions of Mesozoic reptiles, most of which are dinosaurs, making the park a fascinating destination for nature and Earth history enthusiasts. The tour route is organized chronologically, allowing visitors to journey through millions of years of history, from the Cambrian period to the present day. The park also houses the Karol Sabath Earth Museum, the largest paleontological museum in Poland. The exhibition includes over 1,000 plant and animal fossils from around the world, alongside reconstructions of extinct animals, including an impressive 13-meter skeleton of an Opisthocoelicaudia. Additionally, visitors can see models of an Eotyrannus and a Tyrannosaurus rex. Thus, the park is not only an attractive tourist destination but also an important educational site that combines architectural aspects with cultural and historical values, attracting crowds of visitors and paleontology enthusiasts.
