Kamieniec Ząbkowicki is an urban-rural municipality in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship, within Ząbkowice Śląskie County, covering an area of 96.24 km², of which 74% is agricultural land and 6% is forest land. The municipality was established on May 27, 1990, as a result of administrative reform, but its status changed to urban-rural on January 1, 2021. The seat of the municipality is the town of Kamieniec Ząbkowicki, which boasts a rich history dating back to medieval times. Between 1975 and 1998, the municipality was part of the Wałbrzych Voivodeship. The municipality includes numerous villages, such as Byczeń, Chałupki, Doboszowice, Mrokocin, and Sławęcin.
