Karl König's Tenement House in Łódź

The Karl König Tenement House, located at 252/256 Piotrkowska Street in Łódź, is a valuable example of the city's historical architecture. Built in 1887 as a residential house for Karl König, a Łódź industrialist and owner of a nearby dye works, the tenement is an important element of the region's cultural heritage. In the vicinity of the now non-existent post-factory buildings, a camp for Allied prisoners of war operated during World War II, adding historical context to the building's location. The tenement has been listed in the register of monuments since March 14, 1990, under number A/318, confirming its significance in the city's history.
